Alex Fotioo (MS, SCCC, CSCS) | Director of Strength & Conditioning
Since joining the Bears staff in 2013, Fotioo has been the anchor of historic successes across the board for Central Arkansas. The Bears have won multiple conference titles while training with Fotioo and have qualified for a combined 15 NCAA Tournament appearances in football, baseball, softball, volleyball, women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, tennis, and men's & women's cross country.
At UCA, Fotioo has mentored and trained: 5 NFL Draft selections in Tre'mon Smith, Jonathan Woodard, Dezmin Lewis, Robert Rochell (Super Bowl Champion), & David Walker; NFL two time All-Pro selection George Odum; 9 MLB Draft selections in Ty Tice, Hunter Strong, William Hancock, Tyler Gray, Cody Davenport, Gavin Stone (World Series Champion), Noah Cameron, Tyler Cleveland, & Charlie Christensen; 3 Symetra Tour Women's Golfers in Julia Roth, Brenda Gonzalez, & Fernanda Lira; 1 Italian League Professional Softball Player in Kylee Studioso; and 1 European Tour Golfer in Pep Angels.
Before coming back to UCA, Fotioo served as a Strength coach with the University of Tennessee Football Strength & Conditioning Program under Master Strength Coach Dave Lawson and Michael Szerszen. Prior to his time with the Vols, Fotioo served as a graduate assistant at UCA working with the Strength & Conditioning Program as a quality control coach for the Bears football team. Prior to that, Fotioo served as a student intern at the University of Southern Mississippi under Master Strength Coach Scott Bennett and Monte Curtis.
Fotioo is a 2010 graduate of UCA with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science. He earned a Master's of Science in Exercise Physiology from UCA in 2012. He and his wife, Megan, have one daughter - Molly Claire.
